Yeumbeul merchant dies following gunshot wound at home

A merchant in his sixties, identified as Mamadou Fall, has died after being found with a gunshot wound to the head at his home in Yeumbeul. Occupants of the residence reported hearing a loud blast coming from his room, leading them to discover the victim. Despite being evacuated to a medical facility, he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators examining the victim’s mobile phone have uncovered messages that may provide insight into the circumstances of the incident. According to sources close to the investigation, the messages indicated that the man planned to travel soon and instructed his contacts to reach out to his nephew for any necessary matters in his absence.

Saliou Dicko, the prosecutor for the Pikine-Guédiawaye jurisdiction, is overseeing the ongoing investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
