Yggdrasil: Norse Tree of Life Featured in New Dutch Online Mythology Course

Yggdrasil, the massive ash tree at the centre of Norse mythology, is described as the backbone of the cosmos, linking nine realms such as Asgard, Midgard, Jotunheim, Helheim and others. The tree’s roots and branches are said to nourish all worlds, with the rainbow bridge Bifröst connecting Asgard to Midgard.

A Dutch‑language online course called "Yggdrasill" will explore Germanic and Norse mythology, runes and runology. The program is led by all‑round scientist Johan Oldenkamp and is presented under the Wholly Science paradigm. It will be delivered via Zoom over two evenings, covering mythological narratives and Germanic astrology based on runes. Participants are asked to have completed the 33‑part Wholly Science video series, and the fee is €10 for the two‑hour session. Registration is through email to the provided address.
