Yi Jianlian accused of solicitation by transgender influencer

Li Jinjin, a transgender influencer known as “Beijing Qiao Jie,” has released a detailed account regarding a 2024 incident involving former Chinese basketball star Yi Jianlian. In a social media post on November 3, 2026, Li alleged that Yi approached her at the now-closed Westin Beijing Sanyuanqiao in October 2024.

Li claimed that the solicitation occurred in room 1621 in the early hours of October 16, 2024. She stated that while her photos were leaked accidentally, the fact that Yi engaged in solicitation remains unchanged. Li expressed frustration over Yi’s silence following the initial 2024 scandal, which saw several brands sever ties with the athlete, and demanded a public apology to her and her followers.

The original 2024 controversy surfaced when photos allegedly showing Yi in a hotel room, along with identification, were leaked online. At the time, Li, then 19, reportedly mentioned a payment of 1,500 USD. Li has previously faced legal issues involving the use of false identification and entering female restrooms while dressed as a woman.
