Yilan County holds flag-raising ceremony for National Games delegation

Yilan County held a flag-raising ceremony for its delegation to the 115th National Games, which will take place in Taoyuan City from October 17 to October 22. Acting County Magistrate Lin Mao-sheng presented the flags and encouraged the 621 participating staff and athletes to strive for excellence.

To support local athletics, Yilan has established the Sports Department, becoming the first county outside of Taiwan's six major municipalities to create a dedicated sports agency. Lin announced that the county government has increased reward standards for athletes to boost morale and recognize achievements in the 27 competition categories.
