Yilan County Magistrate candidates advance campaigns
Candidates for the Yilan County Magistrate position have advanced their respective campaigns. Lin Kuo-chang has issued appointment letters to his campaign team and supporters featuring a hand-drawn map of Yilan. The artwork was created by a 10-year-old student from Yucai Elementary School, who was honored with a title of ‘Chief Little Designer’ during a meeting with Lin.
Meanwhile, Wu Tsung-hsien officially registered his candidacy on September 1. Supported by representatives from both the Kuomintang and the Taiwan People's Party, Wu’s platform includes the creation of a regional alliance between Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, Taoyuan, and Yilan. His key policies also focus on strengthening social welfare, childcare, indigenous revitalization, long-term care, and establishing public lawyers to provide legal support for schools.
