Yili remains world’s most valuable dairy brand

According to Brand Finance’s Food & Drink Report 2026, China’s Yili has retained its position as the world’s most valuable dairy brand. Its brand value rose 29% to US$14.5 billion, driven by a diversified portfolio including liquid milk, yoghurt, and adult nutrition products.

While Yili leads in financial brand value, India’s Amul was named the world’s strongest dairy brand. Amul achieved a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 93/100 and a AAA+ rating, with its brand value increasing 22% to reach $5 billion.

Other notable global and regional performers include Danone, ranked second in dairy value at US$8.2 billion, and Mengniu at US$6 billion. In the broader food sector, Nestle remains the world’s most valuable food brand at US$24.6 billion. The report indicates a global industry shift where competition is moving away from price-based inflation management toward innovation, health credentials, and consumer trust.
