Yira Sor set to transfer from KRC Genk to Amedspor

Nigerian winger Yira Sor is set to leave the Belgian club KRC Genk to join the Turkish side Amedspor. Genk head coach Jess Thorup confirmed the 26-year-old's departure, noting that Sor has been absent from the club's training camp for several days and will not be part of the squad for the upcoming season.

Sor, who joined Genk from Slavia Prague in January 2023 for €6.5 million, has struggled to secure a consistent role due to injuries and has entered the final year of his contract. He is reportedly already in Turkey to undergo medical examinations. While his initial transfer fee was high, reports suggest the move to Amedspor, coached by Besnik Hasi, may involve a fee around €3.2 million.
