Turkey expands digital education through AI programs and free platforms

Turkey is implementing several major digital education initiatives. The Ministry of National Education, in collaboration with Koç Holding and the Vehbi Koç Foundation, has launched an Artificial Intelligence Education Program. Aiming to reach approximately 5.2 million middle school students, the program utilizes expertise from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) RAISE initiative to teach students how to understand and ethically produce AI technology rather than just consuming it.

In Kocaeli, the Metropolitan Municipality has expanded its Kılavuz e-Derslik platform into a comprehensive digital education ecosystem. The platform provides free access to rich educational content, including over 200,000 questions, for students from primary school through university preparation, as well as for teachers and parents. This initiative aims to promote educational equality by reducing the financial burden of private courses on households.

Additionally, Vodafone Turkey has partnered with Duolingo to offer three months of free Super Duolingo memberships to all its customers via its Happy loyalty platform through the end of November, providing access to language learning and other educational tools.
