YKK and Workman announce new product exhibitions and apparel innovations

YKK and YKK Snap Fastener Co. have announced the “YKK FASTENING CREATION for 2027” exhibition. The event will showcase approximately 100 fastening products, including zippers, buckles, and snap buttons. The exhibition schedule includes an online event starting September 8, 2026, followed by physical exhibitions in Osaka on October 7–8 and in Tokyo on October 29–30.

The showcase will feature three main recommendation booths: industrial materials, value-added sliders, and newly developed items. Additionally, the event will highlight sustainability and fashion products, alongside a fashion show featuring award-winning works from the YKK Fastening Award.

Separately, Workman held its 2026 Autumn/Winter New Product Presentation in Tokyo, introducing a “bagless” apparel line. The outdoor line features a high-water-repellent jacket designed to function as a backpack, capable of holding approximately 13 liters of cargo via large integrated pockets. The jacket includes adjustable shoulder straps to manage weight and can be worn reversed like a backpack in warm weather. Accompanying items include bagless pants with large storage pockets and convertible features.
