Turkey's YKS Exam Venue Release and University Choice Guidance

The Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) venues were announced by ÖSYM ahead of the June 20‑21 testing dates, allowing millions of candidates to view the locations in advance. Experts said familiarising oneself with the exam building can reduce anxiety and improve performance, while also recommending steady study habits and adequate sleep.

Separately, Ahmet Gayretli, a board member of Istanbul Gelişim University, urged prospective students to look beyond scores when selecting a university. He highlighted the importance of accreditation, faculty quality, campus visits, and direct interaction with academic staff. Gayretli emphasized that modern higher education should prepare students for emerging professions and that accredited programmes boost international recognition and career prospects.
