Yüksekova experiences heavy fog and freezing temperatures

Dense fog and freezing temperatures have significantly disrupted daily life in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari. Visibility in some areas has dropped to as low as 10 meters, causing difficulties for drivers on main roads and affecting public transportation schedules.

In response to the conditions, motorists have been forced to use hazard lights to navigate safely, leading to traffic slowdowns. Authorities and meteorological officials have issued warnings for citizens to exercise caution, particularly during the night and early morning hours. They have advised drivers to reduce speed, increase following distances, and ensure all vehicle lighting is functional.

Additionally, the peaks of the Cilo Mountains, reaching an altitude of 4,135 meters, have become covered in snow, signaling a seasonal shift in the region's weather patterns.
