Yıldırım Municipality launches mobile veterinary service for stray animals

Yıldırım Municipality in Bursa has implemented a mobile veterinary service called ‘PATİVET’ to support stray animals. Operated by the Directorate of Veterinary Affairs, the mobile unit travels to different neighborhoods each week to provide medical treatment, vaccinations, and health check-ups for injured, sick, or needy animals.

Since its launch in 2025, the PATİVET vehicle has provided care and treatment to a total of 1,222 stray animals. Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz stated that the initiative aims to provide a safe environment for animals struggling to survive on the streets, ensuring their needs regarding nutrition, shelter, and medical care are met.
