Yıldız Holding CEO Mehmet Tütüncü to co-chair COP31 Food Security group
Mehmet Tütüncü, Chairman and CEO of Yıldız Holding, has been appointed as co-chair of the Food Security and Agriculture Working Group for the COP31 Business Forum. He will share this leadership role with Diane Holdorf, Vice President of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
The COP31 Business Forum was established following the appointment of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) as the COP31 Private Sector Envoy. The forum aims to facilitate effective participation from the global business community in the COP31 process, strengthening cooperation between climate agendas and public policies.
The Food Security and Agriculture Working Group focuses on developing scalable policy recommendations based on private sector expertise. Key priority areas include the food-water-climate nexus, the resilience of farmer ecosystems, and climate-resilient agriculture. These efforts are intended to bring concrete solutions and practical implementation challenges to the COP31 agenda.
