Yllera Bodegas launches VivaltuS in Ribera del Duero

Yllera Bodegas y Viñedos has established a new presence in the Ribera del Duero region with the creation of VivaltuS. The project, which began gaining momentum in 2015, features a unique winery partially buried within a hill located between the castles of Curiel and Peñafiel, overlooking the Duero, Cuco, and Esgueva valleys.

The wine is produced using high-altitude vineyards and a method focused on preserving the identity of the grapes and specific plots. To lead the winemaking process, the company collaborated with renowned Bordeaux enologist Jean-Claude Berrouet, known for his long tenure at Château Pétrus, alongside his son Jeff Berrouet.
