YMCA Run 2026 to host over 1,000 runners in Naguanagua

The second edition of the YMCA Run 2026 is scheduled for November 22 in the Naguanagua municipality. Organizers expect more than 1,000 participants from across the country, an increase from the 600 runners who participated in the inaugural event.

Elías Polo, executive director of YMCA Valencia, stated that the event aims to promote family coexistence, recreation, and sports. The competition will feature several distances: a 10-kilometer race, a 5-kilometer walk, and a 3-kilometer race for children and youth. To encourage participation, organizers have introduced cash prizes for absolute winners in various categories and special prizes for participants.

The race is set to begin at the Samán de Naguanagua at 6:45 AM to avoid high solar exposure. The event will include hydration points every two kilometers. Participants can also access training programs through the YMCA Runner academy to prepare for the competition.
