Yobaín authorities search for missing 60-year-old Eloy Vera Euan

The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) is conducting an active search operation in Yobaín to locate 60-year-old Eloy Vera Euan, also known as “Polxito,” who has been missing since Friday, August 28.

Search efforts involve state agents, municipal authorities, family members, and local residents. The operation covers various terrains, including brushland, roads, paths, and cenotes. To assist in the search, authorities are utilizing specialized canine tracking teams and drones equipped with thermal cameras to monitor large or difficult-to-reach areas, particularly during periods of low visibility.

Authorities have requested that the public report any information regarding his whereabouts via the 9-1-1 emergency number.
