Yogesh Sahu wins 50 lakh rupees on Kaun Banega Crorepati

Yogesh Sahu, a 23-year-old electrical engineering graduate and topper from IIT Bombay, won 50 lakh rupees on the quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’.

Originally from Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh, Sahu previously achieved 98 percent in his 10th-grade exams, ranking as the state's second topper. Despite receiving a campus placement offer worth 18 lakh rupees, he declined the position to focus on preparing for the UPSC civil services examination.

Sahu, whose father works as a driver earning approximately 20,000 rupees per month, expressed his ambition to become an IAS officer. He noted that his desire to join the civil services was inspired by observing his father's interactions while working. During the show, he utilized his final lifeline to answer the 50 lakh rupee question correctly before opting to quit before the 1 crore rupee question.
