Yogi Adityanath accuses Samajwadi Party of inciting 1,500 riots
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a verbal attack on the Samajwadi Party during an event in Gorakhpur, alleging that the party oversaw 1,500 riots during its four terms in power. He claimed the party nurtured 10 lakh criminals who threatened merchants and women's safety.
Adityanath contrasted this with the current BJP administration, stating his government has provided 10 lakh government jobs and taken decisive action against organized crime. He characterized recent political unrest as an attempt by corrupt individuals to create an anti-Modi atmosphere, which he argued ultimately harms the poor, farmers, and women.
In addition to political criticisms, the Chief Minister inaugurated 84 development projects in the Gorakhpur Chauri Chaura constituency, including a railway overpass. He also announced a new compensation package for farmers affected by cyclones, heavy rains, and hailstorms, noting that previous compensation levels were insufficient.
