Yogi Adityanath brands Bundelkhand a development model, slams SP and Congress

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said the Bundelkhand region has shed its image of backwardness and is emerging as a new development model. He highlighted projects such as a defence manufacturing corridor, expressway, medical college, pharma park and increased employment opportunities, noting that youth are no longer migrating away. The government’s aim, he said, is to provide jobs for every young person, water for every farmer and self‑reliance for every village.

Adityanath praised the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing India’s rapid economic growth and the nation’s ranking among the world’s largest economies. He accused the opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress of working only for their own families while in power and of dividing society on caste and religious lines after losing power. He claimed that mafia influence in Uttar Pradesh has been eliminated and referred to the Ram temple as a symbol of national unity.

The speech was delivered at the ‘Developed India Resolution Conference’ in Jhansi, where he also paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Shyamlal Prasad Mukherjee.
