Yogi Adityanath celebrates Raksha Bandhan in Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the ‘Bitiya aur Behna-UP ka Gehna’ program in Lucknow to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. During the event, schoolgirls tied rakhis on the Chief Minister's wrist, symbolizing trust and social harmony.

Addressing the gathering, Adityanath emphasized the government's commitment to the security, respect, and self-reliance of women through initiatives like ‘Mission Shakti’. He noted that the state is working to ensure daughters have equal opportunities in education and employment.

Key policy highlights mentioned include the provision of school uniforms, bags, books, and footwear to approximately 160 million children annually. Additionally, the Chief Minister announced the expansion of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas to provide education up to the 12th grade across all 825 development blocks in the state.
