Yogi Adityanath criticizes opposition during Mathura visit

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the opposition during his visit to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple in Mathura on the occasion of Janmashtami. Addressing devotees, Adityanath claimed that those who hold faith in historical figures like Babur and Aurangzeb cannot respect Sanatan Dharma or the nation's faith.

He accused certain elements of attempting to spread discord in society and undermining the interests of youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs. Adityanath stated that the 'double engine' government would prevent such attempts from succeeding.

Reflecting on historical conflicts, the Chief Minister mentioned that foreign invaders attempted to destroy faith in Ayodhya 500 years ago but failed. He expressed the government's intention to develop grand complexes in Mathura and Vrindavan, similar to those in Ayodhya and Kashi, to align with the sentiments of the people and ensure the development of the Braj region.
