Yogi Adityanath highlights self-reliance and law and order in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed several commemorative and service-oriented events, highlighting the state's focus on self-reliance and law enforcement. During a program marking the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Chief Minister emphasized that Gandhi’s principles of swadeshi (indigenous goods) and self-reliance serve as the foundation for a developed India. He noted that the state's ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme aims to take local products to a global scale, echoing Gandhi’s vision through the spinning wheel (charkha).
In a separate address during the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. He claimed that central welfare schemes have successfully bypassed corrupt intermediaries to deliver benefits like housing, gas, and rations directly to the poor. He also reflected on the Prime Minister's leadership during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Additionally, the Chief Minister spoke on the improvement of law and order in Uttar Pradesh since 2017. He criticized previous administrations for allowing organized crime to flourish and highlighted recent police reforms, including the implementation of seven police commissionerates and the deployment of advanced interceptor vehicles to enhance public safety.
