Yogi Adityanath launches Bharat Taxi and farmer support scheme

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched two major initiatives: ‘Bharat Taxi’ and the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’.

Under the Bharat Taxi scheme, drivers of taxis, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers can register to operate with zero commission. Additionally, these drivers will receive social security coverage worth five lakh rupees. The service has already commenced operations in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, with MoUs signed with entities including Lucknow Airport, Lucknow Metro, and the Lucknow Police.

The Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana aims to support farmers by reducing interest rates on loans from the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Gramya Vikas Bank. The interest rate for these loans has been lowered from 11 percent to 6 percent.
