Yogi Adityanath marks Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a message on Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, emphasizing that the sage's teachings of truth, righteousness, and duty serve as eternal guidance for humanity. Adityanath stated that the ideals of Valmiki can strengthen social harmony, equality, and brotherhood, ensuring that individuals at the margins of society receive respect, security, and equal opportunities.

The Chief Minister highlighted the historical significance of Valmiki's connection to Lord Rama, noting that the sage's life promotes a society based on justice and compassion. He mentioned that the state government is working toward the upliftment of all social classes by adopting these ideals and developing sacred sites associated with the sage, such as his meditation site in Chitrakoot and the Valmiki Ashram in Bithoor. Additionally, he noted that naming the Ayodhya international airport after Maharishi Valmiki provides his legacy with national and international recognition.

In Chitrakoot, preparations are underway for grand celebrations at the Maharishi Valmiki Ashram in Lalapur. The site holds significant religious importance as the location where Mata Sita resided and where Luv and Kush were raised and educated. Local administration plans to organize religious rituals and cultural programs featuring Bundeli folk arts to mark the occasion.
