Yogi Adityanath orders measures to combat rising air pollution in NCR

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to address rising air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR). Following a review meeting led by the Chief Secretary, officials have been instructed to implement effective measures for stubble management to prevent crop residue burning.

Key actions include ensuring the availability of agricultural machinery, such as balers, and expediting pending tender processes to support farmers. Authorities are tasked with increasing field-level monitoring to control burning incidents and raising awareness among farmers. Additionally, officials must conduct regular inspections of industrial units to ensure compliance with pollution standards and take strict action against violators. To ensure effective implementation, each department is required to nominate a nodal officer to monitor pollution prevention efforts.
