Yogi Adityanath performs religious rituals at Gorakhnath Temple
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed traditional religious rituals at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur during the festivals of Shardiya Navratri and Vijayadashami.
Acting in his capacity as the Gorakshpeethadhishwar, the Chief Minister conducted the Mahanisha Pujan and performed a Havan (fire ritual) accompanied by Vedic chanting. The ceremonies, which lasted over two hours, included the worship of various deities, including Maa Mahagauri, Lord Ram, and Guru Gorakhnath. During these rituals, he offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.
In addition to the main rituals, the Chief Minister visited the samadhis of his predecessors, including Mahant Avyedyanath, to seek blessings. The celebrations featured traditional Nath Panth musical instruments such as the shankh, damru, and trumpets, marking the conclusion of the Navratri festivities.
