Yogi Adityanath promises 100,000 government jobs in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state government will issue 100,000 government appointment letters over the next six months. The distribution is expected to occur in weekly batches. This announcement was made during an event in Lucknow where appointment letters were distributed to over 3,400 technical assistants in the agriculture department and mandi secretaries.
The upcoming recruitment drive is expected to include positions such as UP Police constables, UPSSSC Agriculture Technical Assistants, and Lower PCS roles. The Chief Minister noted that the government has provided more than 930,000 jobs over the last nine and a half years, emphasizing a commitment to merit-based and transparent processes.
Adityanath also criticized recruitment practices prior to 2017, alleging they were characterized by corruption and political interference. Additionally, he highlighted international employment opportunities for state youth, noting that countries like Japan, Germany, and Israel have shown interest in recruiting workers from Uttar Pradesh.
