Yogi Adityanath to launch housing project on reclaimed land

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to lay the foundation stone for the Padma Lok Awas Yojana, an affordable housing project in Prayagraj. The initiative will consist of approximately 600 flats built on more than one hectare of land in the Sadar tehsil area.

The land used for this project was reclaimed from the mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) previously utilized reclaimed land from Ahmed in the Lukerganj area to construct 76 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The project has been registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Once the detailed project report receives approval, the PDA will begin the tendering process. Specific details regarding pricing, eligibility, and allotment procedures are currently being finalized.
