Yogi Adityanath warns of suspending officials over land disputes
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued strict warnings to administrative officials during a ‘Janta Darshan’ session in Gorakhpur, where he addressed grievances from approximately 200 citizens. The Chief Minister expressed significant displeasure regarding the handling of land and revenue disputes.
Following a complaint from a woman regarding a dispute over access to a path, the Chief Minister directed that if Lekhpals, Kanungos, or Tehsildars are unable to resolve such issues or are found negligent, they should be suspended immediately. He emphasized that any negligence or delay in resolving land-related matters will not be tolerated and that accountability must be established for officials who fail to provide timely and impartial solutions.
The session, held at the Gorakhnath Temple, covered various issues including police matters, revenue, and healthcare. The Chief Minister instructed senior officials to ensure that citizens do not have to repeatedly visit offices to resolve their problems and that solutions must be effective rather than merely being recorded on paper.
