Yogyakarta Airport Rail Link Resumes, Java Expands Mobile SIM Renewal Services

Kereta Api (KA) Bandara YIA has restarted regular and Xpress rail services between Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) and Tugu Jogja, operating from early morning until night. The regular service runs at frequent intervals, while the Xpress trains offer a shorter travel time for around Rp50,000 per ticket.

Police traffic units across Java are rolling out mobile driver's license (SIM) renewal clinics to improve public access. In Gunungkidul, Polres Gunungkidul provides SIMMADE, SIMPITU, SIM Station and weekend night services at various village halls and markets throughout July. Polres Bantul offers similar mobile SIM services at locations such as Manding, Gilangharjo, and Wukirsari, with an emphasis on early‑day sessions and evening slots on Saturdays. In Jakarta, the Ditlantas of Polda Metro Jaya operates SIM Keliling at five mall and office sites from 08:00 to 14:00, charging Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C, plus health and psychology test fees. All initiatives aim to reduce travel burdens for commuters and streamline licensing procedures.
