Yogyakarta commuter trains Prameks and YIA airport line publish new schedules

The Prameks commuter train linking Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo released its timetable for Saturday, 8 August 2026, with departures from Yogyakarta Tugu at 06:40, 11:50, 15:15, 16:20 and 18:05, and from Kutoarjo at 05:10, 09:05, 13:19, 16:50 and 18:45. The service, popular among workers, students and travelers, is highlighted for its direct route, affordable fares and consistent travel times, and passengers are advised to arrive early, especially during peak morning and evening periods.

The Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) rail link also posted its daily schedule, offering regular and Xpress services. Regular trains run from YIA to Tugu at intervals from 05:16 to 20:55, and from Tugu to YIA from 04:20 to 20:55. Xpress trains provide faster trips with fewer stops, departing YIA at 07:00, 08:40, 09:05, 10:20, 12:24, 14:45, 15:45, 16:17, 18:00, 18:54, 20:15 and 21:30, and returning from Tugu at 06:00, 07:40, 07:57, 09:28, 09:51, 11:03, 13:28, 15:02, 15:30, 16:48, 17:15, 18:50, 20:12. The Xpress fare is about Rp 50,000, catering to passengers with tight flight schedules. Both services see high ridership during busy periods, supporting environmentally friendly mass transit in the Yogyakarta region.
