Yogyakarta International Airport adds bus and rail services with fares of Rp80,000 and Rp50,000
DAMRI public buses will serve Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) on Thursday, 2 July 2026, charging a flat fare of Rp80,000. The service runs hourly from early morning to night on routes to Sleman City Hall, the Condongcatur terminal, the DAMRI pool in Yogyakarta, the Trans Jogja Gamping stop, and the DAMRI railway station, providing connections to key commercial, educational and tourism areas in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will operate the YIA Xpress rail line on the same day, linking Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta directly to the airport in about 35‑40 minutes for Rp50,000 per passenger. Trains run from 06:00 to 21:30 in both directions, with an additional early‑morning service on weekends to accommodate higher demand. The modern, air‑conditioned trains offer a fast, reliable alternative to road travel, further integrating airport access with the city’s public‑transport network.
