Yogyakarta and Solo public transport schedules updated for August 2026

Various public transportation services in the Yogyakarta and Solo regions have released updated schedules and information for mid-August 2026.

KRL Commuter Line services between Solo and Yogyakarta continue to operate with a flat fare of Rp 8,000. For the weekend of August 15–16, 2026, services are expected to maintain regular frequencies, with peak hour departures occurring every 20 to 30 minutes. Passengers can purchase tickets via the Gojek app using GoTransit or through other electronic payment methods.

For travelers using Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), DAMRI bus services and YIA Xpress airport trains are available. DAMRI buses offer routes to Sleman City Hall, Terminal Condongcatur, and other strategic points for a fee of Rp 80,000. The YIA Xpress train provides a faster transit option to Tugu Yogyakarta, with Xpress services priced at approximately Rp 50,000.

Additionally, the KA Prameks commuter line remains a primary link between Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is offering a 17% discount on long-distance commercial economy class tickets for the Independence Day period on August 17, 2026.
