Yohani performs Sinhala-language set at India's Ziro Festival

Sri Lankan pop singer Yohani delivered a headline performance at the Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh, India. Performing a set primarily in the Sinhala language, she drew enthusiastic participation from an international audience that sang along to her lyrics.

During the performance, which featured songs such as ‘Chuttak Chuttak’, the crowd responded by chanting ‘Aadarei’, the title of her second album. The event, held in the Ziro Valley, served as a significant platform for Sri Lankan music, with the singer noting that the experience of hearing non-speakers sing in her native tongue was a career milestone. The performance included the display of the Sri Lankan national flag on screen behind the artist.
