Yoho Brewing launches wobbly beer glass to promote responsible drinking

Yoho Brewing has announced the general sale of its “Wobbly Beer Glass by Yona Yona Ale,” a U-shaped vessel designed to promote responsible drinking. The glass is engineered to lose balance and tip over if only beer is consumed, effectively forcing the drinker to consume an equal amount of water to maintain stability.

This design supports the “zebra drinking” trend, a practice gaining popularity among younger generations in Western countries where individuals alternate between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. By encouraging hydration and pacing, the glass aims to reduce the risk of dehydration and rapid spikes in blood alcohol concentration.

General sales are scheduled to begin on September 18, 2026, via the company’s official online store. Due to high demand, the availability of the glass is expanding to official beer restaurants and various establishments across Japan, with over 50 locations already requesting the product.
