Yoho Brewing to release craft beer made from broken baseball bats

Yoho Brewing has announced the launch of “Soratoshiwa Seasonal #24 Bat Ale 2026,” a limited-edition craft beer made by upcycling broken wooden bats used by Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters players. The project, known as the “Soratoshiwa Bat Beer Project,” involves fans participating in the processing of the bats to extract woody aromatic components through steam distillation.

The beer features bats used by ten players, including Kotaro Kiyomiya and Franmil Reyes. It will be the first lager-style beer produced by the brewery’s “Soratoshiwa by Yona Yona Ale” restaurant located within Escon Field Hokkaido. The product is scheduled for release on November 21, 2026, during the “F FES 2026 supported by Fanatics” fan appreciation event.
