Yokai Bon Odori festival held in Tokyo
The Yokai Bon Odori festival took place on October 10 at the Green Springs commercial complex in Tachikawa, Tokyo. Originally started in Fussa in 2019, the event has become a popular autumn tradition that combines traditional music with Japanese folklore.
Participants dressed as yokai, including shape-shifting foxes, snow women, and tengu, to perform the traditional Bon Odori dance. The festival featured a yokai parade, contests, and a makeup area. Last year, the event drew approximately 50,000 visitors.
