Yoko Shogenji to narrate audio guide for Nijo Castle art exhibition

Yoko Shogenji, a member of the idol group Hinatazaka46, has been appointed as the audio guide navigator for the immersive art exhibition ‘NAKED meets Nijo Castle 2026’. The event will take place at the World Heritage site, Nijo Castle, from October 23 to December 5.

The exhibition focuses on ‘Kan'ei culture’, which flourished during the early Edo period, using the sensibilities of Kazuko Tokugawa as a guide to interpret historical art and culture through a modern lens. Shogenji’s narration will guide visitors through the history, art, and fashion of the era, specifically highlighting the period when Kazuko Tokugawa was 19 years old.

The audio guide will be available for free via Spotify and various other audio streaming services, allowing visitors to experience the intersection of history and contemporary projection mapping through sound.
