Yokohama DeNA BayStars clinch fifth consecutive postseason berth

The Yokohama DeNA BayStars have secured a spot in the NPB postseason for the fifth consecutive year. The team clinched their position following a 7-3 victory against the Chunichi Dragons on September 22.

Key contributors to the team's success include Shugo Maki, who hit his 30th home run of the season during the decisive game, and ace pitcher Keiju Azuma, who earned his 12th win. Despite facing pitching rotation challenges due to the departures of players like Anthony Kay and Andre Jackson, the team managed an eight-game winning streak in September to bring their record to 67 wins, 66 losses, and 3 draws.
