Yokohama High School reaches baseball tournament top eight

Yokohama High School advanced to the top eight of the autumn Kanagawa Prefecture high school baseball tournament following a dominant 10-1 victory over Yokohama Commercial High School. The win extended the team’s winning streak within the prefecture to 41 games.

Second-year pitcher Naru Fukui led the defense, recording his fastest pitch at 152 km/h and pitching six innings while allowing only one run. The offense was powered by captain Kei Kawakami, who recorded five RBIs, including a three-run home run, in his first game back after participating in the U-18 Asia Championship in Taiwan.
