Yokohama leaf art exhibition opens free for children during summer

The "Hello! Leaf Art World in Yokohama" leaf‑cutting exhibition will run from 8 August to 30 August 2026 at the Cross‑Patio Green Spot in Yokohama’s Minato Mirai district. Admission is free for visitors aged middle‑school and younger, while tickets for older guests cost ¥600‑¥700. The show features summer‑themed leaf‑cut artworks, a Night Zoo area, photo spots, original merchandise and a quiz rally.

Separately, a weekend visitor described a personal experience at a Marimekko design exhibition, noting the display of silk‑screen processes, the brand’s founder Almi Latiia’s philosophy of delivering lifestyle rather than products, and an installation with designer Minagawa Akira. The writer highlighted how the exhibition’s colours, patterns and scents offered a calming, sensory escape during the early summer heat.
