Yokohama mayoral election tools and debates launched

Ichini Co., Ltd., the operator of the political information site Senkyo Dot Com, has launched a voting matching service and hosted an online debate for the 2026 Yokohama mayoral election.

The voting matching tool uses 15 questions covering key issues such as bus route support, inflation countermeasures, and municipal taxation. Users select from five options, and the service calculates a matching score based on the proximity of their views to those of the candidates.

Additionally, an online debate was held on October 5, 2026, featuring seven candidates: Sachiko Fujikawa, Takeharu Yamanaka, Kazuma Nakatani, Atsumi Harasawa, Atsushi Fukuyama, Michikatsu Yamamoto, and Yuka Asaka. The event aimed to highlight differences in policy and urban development visions for the city's future. Voting for the election is scheduled for October 18, 2026.
