Yolanda Paredes targets Partido Colorado voters for opposition success

Senator Yolanda Paredes of the Cruzada Nacional party stated that the opposition cannot achieve power without securing votes from the Partido Colorado. In an interview with radio Ñandutí, Paredes emphasized that the Colorado vote is critical and decisive for any election outcome.

Paredes indicated that if she runs for office in the future, she intends to position herself as an “option for change” to attract Colorado party members who are dissatisfied with their current leadership and corruption. Her comments come as the opposition seeks to reorganize ahead of the 2028 elections, with Paredes' name being considered for a potential presidential formula within the Cruzada Nacional movement led by Paraguayo “Payo” Cubas.
