Yomiuri Giants add Daisei Chinen to regular roster after standout minor‑league performance

The Yomiuri Giants announced that 26‑year‑old outfielder Daisei Chinen, a former 5th‑round pick in the 2025 development draft, has been signed to a regular‑player contract and assigned jersey number 94. Chinen, who previously played for OiSIX, posted a .439 batting average and a 1.017 OPS in this season’s farm league, earning league‑top hitter and RBI titles.
