Yomiuri Giants consider return of former manager Shinnosuke Abe

The Yomiuri Giants are reportedly planning the return of former manager Shinnosuke Abe to the organization. Following his resignation in May after an arrest involving allegations of domestic violence against his daughter, Abe was not indicted in June. Reports suggest the club has invited him to return, potentially in a role within the team's scouting or organizational department rather than as a field manager.

This potential return follows a petition signed by over 130,000 fans supporting his comeback. Public opinion remains divided on social media, with some citing his legal exoneration while others argue the timing is premature.

Concurrently, the Giants are undergoing leadership changes after being eliminated from the Central League Climax Series by the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Acting manager Hideki Hashigami is expected to step down, and Yoshinobu Takahashi is considered a leading candidate to take over as the next manager.
