Yomiuri Giants defeat Hiroshima Toyo Carp in consecutive games

The Yomiuri Giants secured victories against the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in consecutive games at Mazda Stadium. In an extended 11-inning battle, the Giants won 10-5, fueled by home runs from Kai and Ohshiro, as well as clutch hitting from Sakamoto and Izumiguchi.

In a separate matchup, the Giants achieved a 4-0 shutout victory. Pitcher Shinnosuke Ogasawara delivered a dominant performance, pitching nine scoreless innings with four hits and four strikeouts. This victory highlights the importance of Ogasawara to the Giants' starting rotation following recent absences in their pitching staff.

During the high-scoring game, Giants infielder Yusei Ishizuka narrowly missed his first professional home run when Hiroshima's Sandro Fabian made a spectacular jumping catch at the fence. Despite the missed opportunity, Ishizuka contributed to the win with a double and a walk.
