Yomiuri Giants dominate Yakult as pitcher Kenta Hori extends 15-game scoreless streak

Giants right‑hander Kenta Hori has posted 15 consecutive scoreless outings, lowering his ERA to an impressive 0.37. After undergoing Tommy John surgery and a stint in the farm system, Hori credited a new conditioning routine and a mental shift toward “not expecting too much” for his recent dominance on the mound.

On the same night the Giants faced the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Tokyo Dome, they turned a previous 2‑hit shutout loss into an 8‑2 victory, recording 13 hits and eight runs. Manager Hideki Hashigami praised the offensive outburst and noted that the run support helped the pitching staff, including starter Takehiro Takahashi, perform more comfortably.
