Yomiuri Giants pitchers prepare for postseason return

Yomiuri Giants pitchers Taisei and Shinnosuke Ogasawara are preparing for upcoming competitive play as the team looks toward the postseason.

Taisei, recovering from right elbow pain, has completed bullpen sessions and intends to return to active play during the Miyazaki Phoenix League, scheduled from the 7th to the 28th. The reliever, who earned the most valuable setup man title last season, aims to regain the performance levels necessary for a return to the first team during the postseason.

Shinnosuke Ogasawara is also preparing for potential appearances in the Climax Series. Having joined the Giants in June after playing in the Washington Nationals minor league system, Ogasawara is approaching his first professional short-series tournament in his ten-year career. He plans to join the Phoenix League to maintain game rhythm and prepare for the high-pressure environment of the playoffs.
