Yomiuri Giants send players to South Korea's KBO Fall League

The Yomiuri Giants have announced the dispatch of two players, infielder Ayumu Nakata and pitcher Shidomichi Suita, to participate in the KBO Fall League in South Korea. This marks the first time in the club's history that players have been sent to this developmental league.

Nakata, a 22-year-old infielder, plans to gain experience both at the plate and as a catcher to improve his versatility. Suita, a 19-year-old right-handed pitcher standing 189 cm tall, aims to test his high-velocity fastball against Korean hitters. The players will join the Lotte Giants to compete in the league, which serves as an educational platform for young talent.

Other participants from the NPB include players from the Chiba Lotte Marines. The deployment is scheduled to run through early November, providing the athletes with essential competitive experience outside of Japan to prepare for future roster advancements.
