Yongdusan Park to host Moonlight Festival with astronomical observations

The Busan Tourism Organization will host the ‘Moonlight Festival in Yongdusan’ on September 24 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the plaza in front of Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park. The event is designed as a participatory science and culture program to coincide with the Chuseok holiday.

Attendees will have the opportunity to observe the full moon, planets, and autumn constellations using eight refracting telescopes. To enhance the experience, certified science culture commentators will provide explanations regarding constellations and recent astronomical developments.

In addition to telescope observations, the festival will feature six interactive science experience booths, including space-themed quizzes and traditional science activities. The event is free to attend without prior reservation, though activities are subject to weather conditions. The initiative aims to promote night tourism in Busan's old downtown area.
